What a Night! Direct Soccer Wins Big at The Courier Business Awards 2025

We’re absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news: Direct Soccer has been named Business of the Year 2025 at The Courier Business Awards! This was our very first time attending the awards, which took place at the stunning Apex City Quay Hotel in Dundee, and what a debut it turned out to be. We were proud to be shortlisted in four categories:

With so many fantastic companies represented from across Courier Country, we were over the moon just to make the final shortlist. When our name was announced as the winner of the Medium to Large Business Award, the whole team was ecstatic! But the surprises didn’t stop there… As the evening drew to a close, host Jason Mohammad returned to the stage to announce the night’s top honour, The Courier Business of the Year 2025, sponsored by Henderson Loggie. This prestigious title recognises the finest company operating across Courier Country, celebrating those that demonstrate excellence in operations, customer service, workforce management, and corporate responsibility.

When the judges revealed their decision was unanimous and described the winner as “head and shoulders above the rest,” we were completely stunned to hear Direct Soccer called out once again! From our beginnings nearly 30 years ago with a small sports shop in Forfar, to becoming the UK’s leading supplier of customised football teamwear, this recognition means the world to us. A huge thank you to The Courier and Henderson Loggie for celebrating local businesses, and to every member of our incredible team whose dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence make Direct Soccer what it is today.
